The short verdict
For someone who wants an inexpensive vintage brass desk accessory with real age rather than a new reproduction, this is a sensible listing to investigate. At $29 it is below many decorative Art Nouveau-style letter racks, but it is not “mint”: the seller specifically notes patina and slight damage on the bottom or a leg.
What the listing tells us
The seller calls it a vintage Art Nouveau brass letter holder and gives it a practical second life as a napkin holder, phone stand, book rest or small art display. That flexibility matters: an object this size earns its space when it can move from an entry table to a desk or dining table.
- Eleven listing photos give a much better condition read than a one-photo collectible listing.
- The stated 4.75-inch height and length make it a small, decorative holder—not a full mail sorter.
- Patina is normal on older brass; do not polish until you decide whether you prefer the aged finish.
- Check the underside images before checkout because one leg/bottom area has slight damage.
Search terms this page is designed to answer
People rarely search only one broad phrase. This page can earn impressions for specific intent such as vintage brass letter holder with patina, Art Nouveau desk organizer, brass napkin holder for desk, and small ornate mail holder—because the title, images, captions and buying advice all match the actual object.

Fair price check
Comparable ornate brass letter racks often ask substantially more when they are larger, attributed to a known maker, or have no damage. This $29 listing has a clear value proposition: a small, visually interesting accessory at a low entry price. Shipping is the swing factor, so compare the final delivered cost—not the item price alone.
